This summer we went to Ibiza for a holiday with First Choice.
It was my first time going to Ibiza, and I had an amazing time. My favourite things on this holiday were the beach (our hotel was RIGHT next to a lovely beach), eating at the beach restaurant (so you can play on the beach while they make you a yummy pizza) and going swimming in the sea.
This holiday, I also got to try out some new activities, like the high wires, which were a bit like Go Ape, and a lot of fun. Some kids got really scared and started crying halfway through, but I could have done it twice, it was so fun.
Another thing I got to try was the stage school, where you do singing and dancing and things. We learned a dance routine by The Saturdays, and halfway through the class, the actual Saturdays turned up. It was a big surprise and I wasn’t sure who they were at first, but when I realised they were the ACTUAL band singing the song we were learning, it was pretty funny!
Two things I really noticed about The Saturdays. First, they wear about a thousand sorts of make-up, which makes them harder to recognise. And second, they wear really, really, really high heeled shoes. I think after they do their dancing, they must have to order a foot spa because their feet are so sore!
The girls from The Saturdays were really friendly and stopped with us to answer questions and take some photos. My favourite moment was when one boy asked them how much money they had!
The Saturdays also let us in on a secret, that they would be performing at the Holiday Village later that day, and they wanted us to be on stage with them. Everyone was really excited and that night we got special t-shirts to wear for our dance, which we did to a Saturdays song. After the song, one of the children in the class introduced the Saturdays and they came on stage and did three or four songs. We got to be right at the front, and I really enjoyed watching their performance. Everyone was singing and dancing and taking photos.
You can see some more of what we got up to in Ibiza over on my Mum’s blog, where she has reviewed our trip, too!
